Auburn University Club
Our focus at Auburn University Club is to provide a championship golf course and first-class practice facilities to our members and guests. Located just minutes from the Auburn University campus, AU Club is the official home of the Auburn Tiger Golf Teams.
The Club is also located in what Golf Digest ranked #1 "Best Golf City in America" (Auburn-Opelika, 2005) and one of the best places to live (U.S. News, 2009). Our club features a 12,000 square foot clubhouse, pool and tennis facilities, and new real estate development at Yarbrough Farms. We also have a full service restaurant and bar, home to many local clubs and events.
Our gorgeous 12,000 square-foot clubhouse has a number of notable features:
- A full service kitchen and bar serving the grill dining room, adjoining library, lounge and dining areas on the 3,000 sq. ft. veranda and covered, screened porch
- Clubhouse fireplaces to bring warmth and conversation areas to the grill room and men's locker room
- A well-stocked Pro Shop which provides a wide range of top-of-the-line equipment and apparel as well as a variety of items specific to The Auburn University Club and Auburn Tiger Golf
- Host parties, such as our Saturday football events, and other social activities
Founded in 1999, the Club's charter members worked to create a partnership with the City of Auburn and Auburn University - a place where members could enjoy a quality course but not forget the close ties to the University. Working with former Auburn golfer Bill Bergin, the club was designed on more than 200 acres of rolling wooded terrain centered around the 25-acre Yarbrough Lake and the Saugahatchee Creek which runs along several of the holes on the course.
In 2012, the Club ownership changed. The new ownership has worked tirelessly to update the facilities and equipment, including the course. They have reopened the restaurant with a new menu and a new look. The new management has streamlined much of the membership process, and invites anyone to tour the facilities and have a practice round of golf. Clubhouse Restaurant is open to the public, and the management welcomes all to try the delicious menu.
While the ownership has changed, the commitment to the community and membership is stronger than ever. AU Club strives to grow and still maintain the beautiful course for all to enjoy.
